Department of CSE in IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain.
The fields of IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain are specialized areas within Information Technology, forming a vital sub-stream of Computer Science and Engineering. In today’s interconnected world, almost every device is linked to the Internet, enabling seamless access, monitoring, and control across the globe. This connectivity offers immense opportunities to automate tasks and facilitate communication between devices, humans, and industries. IoT (Internet of Things) has emerged as one of the most significant technologies of the 21st century, connecting devices from homes to industries, and enabling device-to-device or human-to-device interactions. Key sectors leveraging IoT include Manufacturing, Automotive, Transportation & Logistics, Retail, Public Sector, Healthcare, and Agriculture.

With the proliferation of connected devices, ensuring security across networks becomes critical. Cyber Security aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to protect data, devices, and personal information from malicious attacks. Graduates with expertise in Cyber Security have wide-ranging career opportunities across IT, manufacturing, and production industries.
The massive data generated by connected devices also requires secure storage and authorized access. Blockchain technology provides a distributed, tamper-proof ledger that ensures information cannot be altered or hacked. Its applications span Financial Transactions, Lending, Real Estate, Secure Personal Data, Voting, Healthcare Systems, Supply Chain Management, and Secured IoT.
The general safety across all industry is the requirement of securing these devices and its network. To secure the data generated due to communication between the devices, device to humans, and personal information are in demand. Cyber Security courses aims to equip the students with the knowledge and skills required to defend your data, devices, and personal information from the attacker. This course provides a wide variety of opportunity in IT sector and in other manufacturing and production industries.
With this introduction to our course, I, Dr. Madhumala R B, Professor and Head, warmly welcome all of you to the Department of CSE in IoT & Cyber Security including Blockchain.

Wishing you a rewarding and enriching experience at DSATM!
